Along the way, we will explore the history and culture of the country, connect with local communities, and celebrate Cortney in style. Expect laughter, late nights, spontaneous dance moments, and the kind of memories that only happen when the right people travel together.

May 9 – Land & Eat
You land. We hug. We drop our bags.
Sunset dinner ocean front at El Salvador’s finest seafood dining with spicy margaritas, and “OMG we’re really here” energy. Birthday week officially begins.
May 10 – Hot Girls Surf Too
El Tunco takeover.
We learn to make pupusas (yes, with our local Abuela)
We take a surf lesson (yes you will fall, yes you will scream, yes you will have fun, no you do not need swim)
Karaoke night because obviously Cortney gets a birthday solo
May 11 – Culture But Make It Cool
We explore historic San Salvador, take cute plaza photos, and actually learn something meaningful about community change through a VIOLENCE PREVENTION class where a local community leader explains how El Salvador went from murder capital of the world to safest country in the Western hemisphere.
Then beers poolside at Cadejo Brewing Company because balance.
May 12 – Lake Day = Soft Life
We connect with Indigenous history and Nahuat culture (yes, we’re depth girls).
Then boat day on Lake Coatepeque — swimming, tanning, there might be a slide involved.
May 13 – Glamping at Conchagua
We road trip to the mountain of Conchagua blasting throwbacks.
Glamping. Stars. Learn about the Lencan goddess guarding the most beautiful views you’ve ever seen.
The birthday moment:
At midnight we celebrate Cortney in her divine feminine era at 40.We cry. We cheer. We toast.
May 14 – A Birthday of Pampering
We split up with the girls headed to Jaguar Salon for massages and mani/pedis and the boys headed to the beach for Surf Classes with the experts!
Later on we meet again poolside at Mar y Sol looking expensive, hydrated and ready to relax for the rest of the day.
May 15 – Jungle & Glow Up
Waterfalls. Hike. Nature reset. One last adventure before we head home.
May 16 – Goodbye But Tan
We leave glowing, bonded, and slightly transformed.
