At SEÚL HAUS, the rooms are not simply places to sleep. They are intentional sanctuaries shaped by the Korean art of Pungsu-jiri, the ancient practice of living in harmony with the earth’s energy.

SEÚL HAUS offers two private wooden bungalows, each crafted to create a direct relationship between guest and nature. Constructed primarily of wood — a living material that breathes, expands, and holds energy — the spaces invite you to absorb the quiet vitality of the earth itself. 

Each bungalow is intentionally oriented toward the sunrise. Mornings begin with golden light pouring through the space, symbolizing renewal, clarity, and new beginnings. The design gently encourages guests to wake with the sun and align with natural rhythms rather than artificial time.

The Bungalows

At night, the experience shifts upward. Open views and thoughtful placement ensure you interact with the heavens — the rising moon, the shifting constellations, the deep stillness of the night sky. Sleeping beneath hand-woven palm roofs, guests are cooled naturally by circulating air. The palm thatching not only regulates temperature but carries a calming, organic energy that supports deeper rest.

 There are no accidental details here. Every material, every angle, every opening has been chosen to create harmony between body, land, and sky.

  • SEÚL HAUS is located just a 5-minute drive from El Tunco Beach — the iconic coastline at the heart of Surf City. You can find it by its name on Google Maps.

    Tucked slightly away from the energy of town, the property offers both proximity and peace. A car or scooter is recommended for ease and flexibility during your stay and can be provided for an additional fee. If you prefer not to drive, local taxis are readily available to take you back and forth with ease.

  • Because SEÚL HAUS is an intimate, two-bungalow sanctuary intentionally reserved for each guest, we ask that all cancellations honor the time and energy held for your stay.

    1. Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to arrival will receive a full refund.

    2. Cancellations made within 5–7 days of arrival will incur a 50% charge of the total booking.

    3. Cancellations made within 5 days of arrival are non-refundable.

    We understand that life moves in unexpected ways. If you need to adjust your dates, please reach out — when possible, we are happy to accommodate changes with advance notice.

  • At SEÚL HAUS we ask that all guests treat the space, its structures, and its surroundings with care and respect.

    Guests are financially responsible for any damage caused during their stay, including but not limited to furniture, wood structures, palm roofing, linens, fixtures, and décor. Any missing items, excessive staining, or damage requiring repair or replacement will be invoiced.

    Because our bungalows are crafted from natural materials that breathe and respond to their environment, we ask that you avoid harsh chemicals, smoking indoors, or misuse of furnishings. Excessive cleaning beyond standard turnover may result in an additional fee.  At this time, pets are not permitted on the property.

    To preserve the peaceful energy of the property and respect both nature and neighboring community members, quiet hours are observed after 10:00 PM. We ask that music, conversations, and all activity be kept at a low, respectful volume.
