Day Tour: Indigenous Peoples
Nahuat is the indigenous language of El Salvador and there are only 200 remaining Nahuat speakers. Meet with a Nahuat Pipil elder who will tell you a first-hand account of the massacres survived, discrimination they have faced, and the resilience of their various projects forged to preserve their language.
Then tour their home and learn about their artisan crafts of red clay ceramics. When you’re done, you’ll be offered an ancestral meal at home where you will eat foods that indigenous peoples ate here for generations (completely vegan) followed by a trip to a local waterfall.
